A passion for art, design and craftsmanship inspired Louise to pursue a career in interior design, and these themes continue to underpin her work. With a lifelong love of the British landscape, Louise’s style is strongly influenced by nature.
Louise began her career at Candy & Candy, working on some of the world’s most prestigious residential and commercial projects.
In 2011 she joined emerging design practice 1508 London. Within three years she was promoted to Creative Director and Partner, a role which saw her overseeing a 50-strong studio of multi-disciplinary architects, technicians, designers and furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) specialists.
Determined to combine her wealth of experience in large-scale studios with a more personal approach to design, she established Louise Wicksteed Interiors in 2023. From the big picture to the smallest detail, Louise prides herself on overseeing every part of the process.
Accomplished in both contemporary and traditional styles, Louise imbues all her projects with the principles of classical design: form, order, symmetry and proportion. Using these building blocks, she creates original interiors which reflect her client’s aspirations for living.
